Marion and John Prepare A Meal For Us......

While Marion and John were visiting with us, we were treated to a delicious meal prepared by this dear couple......

We went shopping and Marion knew exactly what she was looking for to make the meal..........in a couple of instances she had to substitute an ingredient due to small town availability....

Percy Pig kept a watchful eye as Marion donned an apron, selected pots and pans and got to work.......

A chef at work.............................

A very important member of the team, John, stationed at the sink, kept everything washed up.........A culinary delight beautifully presented.....grilled chicken breast with lemon sauce, baked penne pasta with cheese topping, tender asparagus and garnished with miniature tomatoes......yum, yum, yum..........Marion, I wish we were having this meal for lunch today!

Marion is a wonderful cook along with all her other talents.....

In Rememberance of Those Who Died On 9-11, 2001

This day we remember all those whose lives were so violently taken on September 11, 2001.

The families that were forever changed........the fathers, mothers, children, brothers, sisters, friends that will be forever missed.............

Even though we saw it on television, we couldn't believe what was happening.....it was like watching a horror movie or having a bad dream, thinking it would end soon and we would wake up. The phrase 9-11 has taken on a whole new meaning........

Our thoughts and prayers are with you ..............God Bless........

Happy Birthday, Mama!

One of the hazards of having someone else help you with computer/blogging stuff is that they now have your password information! LOL

Hi everyone, Amy here. I am hijacking my mama's blog while she's out of town to let you all know that today (September 3rd) is her birthday! So, I thought it would be neat if you all left her a birthday wish to discover once she gets back home tomorrow! Won't she be surprised??!!

I'll be the first! Happy Birthday to the most sweetest, most wonderful-est, most talented Mama in the world! We love you and appreciate you more than you'll ever know! You are a true southern lady, a wonderful Christian example, and a very special person all the way around. We thank the Lord for you!

So....HAPPY BIRTHDAY! WE LOVE YOU!

Love,
Amy, Chad, Erin, Elisabeth, Wesley, Ellie, John and Alexander
