Greetings From Country-Charm...First Post

Hey Y'all!

As a famous American, Minnie Pearl, was known for saying, "I'm so glad to be here!"

It has been said that a journey begins with the first step. This is my first posting on my journey into blogland. I have received so much pleasure from reading your blogs, and hearing your experiences, and seeing glimpses into your lives.

My next door daughter, "Picket Fence Mom", insists that I can do this. When our girls were learning to ride their bicycles and would get discouraged, I can remember hearing myself saying, "You can do it!" over and over again. I suppose I need to heed my own advice. I'm not familiar with many of the blogging terms, and I'm sure I'll make some bobbles along the way...but please be patient with me. My mother always said, "Anything somebody can do a lot of, I can do a little of."

I haven't climbed any tall mountains, or flown around the globe, or anything spectacular. But I have been blessed by beautiful sunrises, sunsets, rainbows, precious family (natural and church), baby lambs, devoted pets, dear friends, flowers, and so many other things not bought with money.

So many of you have such deep thoughts and so ably express them. I know what I feel, but sometimes it's difficult to convey thoughts to paper (or in this case, screen). I never want to disappoint my Heavenly Father. I am abundantly blessed every day.

The photo at the top is of my front door. After removing the Christmas wreath, it was too early for spring flowers. So I walked around the yard and gathered greenery. After placing a container for water in the hanging basket, I just stuck the greenery in. So...welcome! Come for a visit anytime!

God Bless.

Yay Mam! You can do it...picture yourself riding a bicycle! LOL I know you will have lots of wonderful things to share. Of course, I'm not biased at all about having such a terrific, talented, 'can-do-anything' Mother!
Seriously, I know you'll enjoy this new journey into the blogosphere!

Hi Betty ~ just found your blog from your comment on Susan P's blog! So I popped over here to visit. Congratulations on starting a blog - if you're any bit like me, you will become addicted (in a good way!) to keeping in touch with new acquaintances across the country. I've enjoyed it so much!

You do have a beautiful front entranceway! Thank you for sharing. I'll pop back in to visit occasionally.

I have found that blogging is actually a ministry in itself. Just last week a blogger by the name of boomama set up a fund in hopes to raise $1000 for another blogger who was losing her kidney function on both sides. The donations were over $9000 when she decided to 'get out of Kelli's business' and leave the rest to her. Two bloggers actually offered kidneys to Kelli! Amazing.
From the 'sound' of your talk...we could be neighbors! Ha! Y'all come see us :)
