Come into the den........

Come into our den.....this is where we spend much of our time...especially in the winter months........We don't celebrate 'Happy Holidays'.....we celebrate CHRISTmas.......the birth of the of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ......so as the pillow states, "Merry Christmas to you and yours"...........
This year I chose not to put up the large pre-lit Christmas tree, rather a smaller pencil tree......I stuck peacock feathers in the top along with a vintage gold tree topper.....I also bought red and gold glass birds.....

We have a mix of ornaments, candle lights, little white lights, vintage and new ornaments.........
The plate says it all......Christ the Savior Is Born........
Our girls with Santa when they were little girls....Amy on the left.......Mindy on the right (Edward was Santa)......

The white iron urns on the mantel were bought at Goodwill for $2.00 each. The topiaries were also bought at Goodwill for $3.00 or $4.00 each...
The Willow Tree Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus were a gift to us this Christmas............
Christmas books that the grandchildren enjoy reading......
I was so fortunate to be in a thrift store after Christmas last year when a box was being unpacked......as the tissue was removed pieces of a beautiful Nativity set came into view.....I instantly bought it for $25.00. It is on the top of our television cabinet.....Everyday it brings me joy just to stand and look at it.....

While visiting our daughter in Madison, we stopped by an estate sale. This statue head was on a table for $1.00. For Christmas he is sporting a red knitted scarf to keep him warm.....
Snowmen on top of the piano......
Big angels, little angels, painted angels, wire angels, plaster angels, wooden angels, lace angels, etc........

Still more rooms to go.....see you later.........

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home....and I REALLY appreciate the Merry CHRISTmas. I think we have mostly forgotten the reason that we celebrate....it is very refreshing to visit a home that believes as we do!!
Blessings to you at Christmas and in the coming special new year!
