Friday Show and Tell...... I am Blessed to Be Me Because........

Today is Friday and it's Show and Tell over at Kelli's...........

I apologize for the blurred pictures.......
A few things I've recently found at a consignment shop and thrift store........................

A large pewter bunny tray....just can't have too many bunnies...
A pewter bunny pitcher.........
A long cone container with greenery....it originally had some orange orchids in it also that I removed........

A brass bird plaque....can you make the birds out?

Two sets of mercury glass candle holders....don't call for an eye appointment, it's the picture......
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cathy over at Melodies and Hymnsongs asked me to participate in this exercise and I appreciate her thinking of me....well, here goes....

1. I'm blessed to be me because I'm a child of the King and Jesus loved me enough to die in my place...and blesses me with faith to know He will never leave me nor forsake me......

2. I'm blessed to be me because I live in a wonderful country...in the country.......

3. I'm blessed to be me because I've never know hunger (other than when I chose to skip a meal) and I've always had a roof over my head and clothes to wear.....

4. I'm blessed to me because I freely chose to marry my husband.......

5. I'm blessed to be me beause I have two loving daughters, two sons by love and eight fantastic grandchildren....a loving family who are close to each other...not in distance but in love and concern for each other....

6. I'm blessed to be me because I have a loving church family who would come to my aid in whatever way I need.....

7. I am blessed to be me because I have access to so many advantages to further learning such as libraries, internet, elderly wisdom......

8. I am blessed to be me because I have a friend since 1st grade who would do whatever I'm in need of without question......

9. I am blessed to be me because I live where the stars and moon shine brightly in the sky without hindrance of bright city lights.....and I'm surrounded by God's creation......

10. I am blessed to be me because I've met so many like minded ladies through blogging...the majority of which I'll never meet face to face, though we've met heart to heart....some I do expect to meet and see face to face.....

11. I am blessed to be me because in case of illness I can see doctors and receive needed medical attention......

12. I am blessed to be me because I have a love of gardening, fixing my home, sewing, etc.....

13. I am blessed to be me because I have six active, healthy grandchildren who live next door and I can hear them talking, laughing and playing in the yard next door......sweet music to my ears....and two that I can see in about three hours.....

14. I am blessed to be me because I have a piano and a few years ago a sweet friend gave me a full size digital piano-organ that brings me untold hours of pleasure.......

15. I am blessed to be me because my husband and I are seemingly in good health and able to minister to our congregation of sweet, loving brothers and sisters in Christ........

I choose Sue of Life at Home who I've met recently and I'm so impressed with her sweet testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness as her son is on a journey of a very serious health problem......

2. I choose Jillian of Jillian's Pages....another new friend who is bringing insight of her wisdom through her blog..........

2. I choose Katherine of Yellow Rose Arbor who I enjoy reading daily as she spreads cheer and is always upbeat......

I choose you, too, so let me know why you are blessed to be you.......

Hi Betty,

When I saw your name and comment on my blog just now, I thought to myself that I didn't remember posting a comment to myself. Then I realized it was another "Betty". So nice to meet you.

I was so surprised to learn that you visit Murfreesboro often. I am wondering if you live close to there. Apparently you must. I am interested to know where you live if you don't mind telling me. I see on your profile you only show United States. My email address is on my blog, and I would love for you to email me and tell me where you live. If we live close enough maybe we could meet in person one day in the future.

I love all the things you found at thrift stores. I never find anything that pretty at the ones here that I visit.

I enjoyed reading all the things that make you glad you are you. Gives me and others a chance to get to know you better.

If you don't mind, I want to add you to my blogroll.

Betty,
I echo all of your blessings that you so thoughtfully present here and am honored by your sweet words about me. Thank you so much for continuing to pray for Aaron and letting me know how Ronald is doing. I will continue to pray for his recovery.
Hugs,
Sue

Oh, I always ask myself why do we not have those thift stores here in Germany! They seem to sell the most wonderful things!

Betty, you made me smile when I read that you would be the Jane Austin caracter of Elinor Dashwood of Sense and Sensibilities. I absolutely LOVE that movie! But I guess I would rather be the oldest of her two sisters (Kate Winslet).

Have a great Week-end and best wishes from Germany,
Anita

I love all of your photos and especially the bunnies. I love them and so do my Mom and daughter. I guess it's a family thing. LOL

I enjoyed reading your list of things you are blessed by. I did this meme last week and really enjoyed it.

Take care, my friend. You're definitely an inspiration to me.

Blessings,
Mary

Your pewter bunnies are so pretty. I like the mercury glass and the other goodies, but the bunnies have my vote this week. You must have really had a fun time shopping.
Thank you very much for your show and tell. It is always a joy.

Hi Betty,
I came over from my friend, Betty's blog (Betty's This and That) and boy am I glad I did!! The words "country charm" caught my eye on her sidebar. I'm all about country!! I have looked back through your archives until my eyes are crossing and still haven't scratched the surface. Your home is beautiful and that little red guesthouse is out of this world!! I want to move in right now!! I love that you like to thrift and you've found some great bargains that you have lovingly displayed in your home, along with the hand-me-down pieces!

I also loved reading your list of blessings!

I will be back often and catch up a little at a time on the archives and take it easy on the old eyes!

Please come visit me sometime.

Hugs,
Hope

Oh my Betty! You really have some amazing thrift shop finds. I love them ALL but I don't know which is more unique ~ the bunny tray or the bunny pitcher. How fun those will be to use this spring! We see bunnies each weekend as we drive to Cranberry Cottage. There is one road that is full of bunnies springing their way across the dark road so we have to drive slowly. I really like the arrangement in your wall cone.

I too feel that enjoying decorating the house and keeping up the garden are blessings. I also feel working with my needle is a blessing and I try to share it with others.

Hugs ~
Heidi
