Remembering Princess Di's Wedding Day....Prince William's Wedding Day

My sweet husband ordered two Princess Di engagement rings...one for me and one for my dear English friend, Marion....we knew the engagement and wedding of Prince William would be a very important event in the lives of the English people. I've always had a penchant for the English, their customs, their culture, their authors......their way of life....and of course, their English gardens.
Several years ago, I found a cup celebrating the marriage of Lady Diana Spencer

and the Prince of Wales......
This was years before the marriage breakup.......
I also have a 1984 Life magazine with the story of Prince William's birth.......

The little boy did grow up to be a handsome prince but the story wasn't always the happy
fairytale that should have been.....divorce and his beloved mother's death.......
Best Wishes for a long and very happy marriage to his
Princess Catherine.....however, to me she'll always
be Princess Kate.................

While one side of the world celebrates joy and the Royal Wedding, our side of the world in the southern United States has suffered untold agony due to the many tornadoes....the death toll has reached over 200 and will undoubtedly rise higher.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost loved ones, the injured, loss of homes, schools, hospitals, churches, etc. When you petition our Heavenly Father, please remember to pray for the hurting here....Thank you!

Yes Betty and I am about to watch again in 20 minutes when the bride and groom leave for a rest at Clarence House before al the partying into the night.

My son has gone into town and is watching from a big screen in Trafalgar Square. I imagine he walked up to the Mall which almost runs off from there.

I was very impressed with everything, particularly the service and how well the Middletons conducted themselves.

Have been thinking about you too with all the info. on Tornados in your area although I did assume that you personally had escaped.

Will keep that area in prayer.

Sweet Sister Betty.....
How wonderful it has been to stay connected via the internet whilst we watched Britain celebrate the Royal wedding today. What a glorious occasion... The happy couple looked radiant, the Abbey service was beautiful and moving and the crowds celebrated in true British style.

I've worn my ring, on a number of occasions in fact. I also noticed you were wearing yours in the Easter picture you sent.... just beautiful!

We are shocked at the death and devastation caused by recent tornadoes in Alabama and remember all concerned in our prayers.

Have a blessed Lord's Day tomorrow. Sending love and strong embrace - Marion

The wedding was beautiful and so meaningful. Hopefully they will have many years together.
Your ring is precious.
I too pray for the people who lost everything with the tornadoes. I marvel how they are keep the faith through it all.

How thoughtful of your husband to buy the rings :) I remember Princess Diana so well- grew up with her and had my son just after William was born too. How times flies by. I remember one of my haircuts at the time, called Princess Diana Style. I suddenly went from a pageboy style to the more windswept look- more girlie.
So sad about the tornados and damage in the southern states- l couldn't believe it when l saw it on the news. This will take a long time to heal- very sad.
Wishing you all the best as always dear Betty- l hope you are enjoying some nice springtime weather.
take care xx
