Today is Friday so it's SHOW AND TELL over at Kelli's...............
This is a covered bowl with pheasants and a rabbit on the lid....the bowl has a woven basket design....I bought it a an estate sale for $2.00. I've seen one either like it or very similar on someone's blog lately.........
This is a collection of white and cream dishes....The large plate on the top left is a Lenox Wedding Plate. I bought it at Goodwill for $2.00 still in the presentation box. On the back is the story of the plate. I checked at a jewelry store about 5 years ago and it was listed above $90.00.
The white plate with a gold design in the center cost a dollar or two. That's a monogram in the center so I turned it upside down and it looks like a design. An English round platter is propped up. The teapot lamp was a Mother's Day gift from our daughter.
Small pitchers or large pitchers, I like them all............Do you like white and cream colored dishes?

Yes I do! I like colored ones too but I don't collect any kind. You sure do find some good deals!

You have a wonderful collection! I like to collect cream pottery. That was a very clever idea to turn the monogram upside down. I don't think I would have thought of that.

The only white dish that I have is a large turkey platter. I use it every Thanksgiving.

I love, love, love your red wall, your white dishes and... well... all cream and white dishes! I'm also on the scout for good ones at estate sales and the like. Looks as though you've found some fantastic ones!

I seem to have a "thing" about dishes too! Creamed colored, beautiful florals, fruit plates, green jadite--they are such a delight with their different shapes, patterns, and styles.

I have a weakness for dishes, no matter what colors! But the monochromatic theme of white and cream is beautiful and chic!
In design most people don't realise that cream and white, put together, can work so well. You have collected a wonderful set of platters and jugs Betty- a stroke of genius by grouping them together this way too. Doesn't it feel great when you get a bargain or find just what you've been looking for at a thrift shop? l love it and perhaps will venture out to find something today.
Also, l have to say that l love that teapot lamp- very quirky.

This is such an elegant display. I wish I had such good taste! I collect bits and pieces that appeal to me, and they are all in a lovely old cabinet that I inherited, but it just looks a hodge podge!!
