Cassia Tree or in the South....Peanut Tree....Last rose of summer......

Well, here it is Friday and that means.....Show and Tell over at Kelli's..........

I know I've shown lots of flowers but with winter approaching, all the pretty flowers will be no more , so today I want to show you my Cassia Tree or in the south sometimes called the 'Peanut Tree'. The leaves do look very similar to peanut leaves....you know, peanut plants that peanut butter is made of........

A close up look at the beautiful yellow blooms........
The last rose of summer....a gorgeous deep pink......the tag is gone so I don't know the name.....

Hi Betty :) The flowers are lovely! Your Cassia is magnificent, and that rose is so vivid that I would like to pick it for a vase here on my desk.

Our flowers have gone for the year, too, though we are greatly enjoying the flowering of the trees into their fall colors :)
Blessings! Q

Betty,

Those yellow flowers are gorgeous. I have never seen a Casia tree. I would love to have one. I'm not sure they would grow in this climate though.

The last rose of summer is beautiful. My neighbor has a red one that is blooming right now. It even has a new bud. However, I doubt it will last long as night temperatures are hitting the freezing mark.

Thanks for sharing these beautiful blooms. You've brightened my day.

You always have the prettist--and mot unusual--plants. I don't believe I've seen that tree before. At least I don't remember a tree called "Peanut tree." Beautiful blooms.

I never get tired of seeing your unusual plants. That tree is so pretty! I still have the pine cone looking thingy you sent me in my frig. I was going to show it to Tina but forgot to take it.

Beautiful! We still have roses blooming, too, though we've had a few frosts.
