Honoring Our Heroes---Our Veterans......Best Friends Forever Award.....

Note: This is a reprint of a salute to our Veterans from last year......I do not know how to delete the comments from last year so they are included as well........
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Today, Tuesday, we honor our heroes, our veterans, to whom we owe more than we can every repay for the bravery shown to us and our country through the years........giving so unselfishly of themselves......putting us and our country ahead of their families, their desires and ambitions, because it was the right thing to do.......
The words inscribed on the bench says it all............click to enlarge..................
This prize winning photograph was taken by my sixteen year old granddaughter, Erin, a few weeks ago. The top photo made as it is.......the second one with the American flag super-imposed.........
Thank the veterans you know for their service to our country.....
THANK YOU VETERANS AND GOD'S RICHES BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOURS................................................
Surely this day is bittersweet for anyone who has lost a loved one...proud as can be.... and missing that family member and remembering all the moments on this earth together.
Although I kn ew quite a lot about world war I I have just read installements in our newspaper of excerts from real life stories and it make ones hair stand on end. What these guys had to deal with is as bad as it could get in the trenches.
There are 3 guys in lthis country still alive. 112,110 and 108.
So glad you could "sit a spell" on mama's porch. We lived in GA for a little while. What a fun state! I really miss the south; Michigan just isn't very southern...hmmm, it's not in the south! : ) My father in law is a pastor too, so I'm married to a PK. He truly is a great fella.
Take care and come back and see me.
Betty & Edward,
Thank you very much for the lovely gift of the Christmas Carol CD for Samantha. I know she will greatly appreciate it. I'm sure it will bring Christmas to her and her friends who are serving their country. Your love and support is very much appreciated.
On another note, please pray for Aunt May. She is in pallative care and has been for a week. She is waiting for God to call her home and resting comfortably with strong pain meds.
Love and blessings,
Mary
