Show and Tell Friday...................

Gosh, is it Friday already? Yes, it is....Show and Tell at Kelli's...

Well, if we get a bird , we do have a place to keep it! A few weeks ago as I was browsing in a thrift-collectible store I saw this beautiful Victorian bird cage....I asked the price and drooled over it. I finished paying for red and white willow dishes and took a final look at the bird cage.....a few days later I decided I'd like to have another place setting of the willow dishes and returned to the store. That bird cage just called my name.....before I left I had put that beauty on lay-away because I would need the truck to carry it home......Today, I brought it home....It took some maneuvering on my part to unload it and carry it around to the back porch...but as the Little Red Hen said, "I'll do it myself, and so I did".

Now to break the news to my husband....he goes in and out the back door several times a day so I knew he would see it.....well, his birthday is April 3rd, what a perfect gift! Of course, he was thrilled beyond words......(I'm being a wee bit facetious)..... now to find a bird........

That's so beautiful and I reckon it's big enough for a parrot! New idea for hubby's birthday present?

Facetious AND courageous! My husband would set the bird free...and me.....if I gave him one!

Just teasing a little...but it is good to know their love language. Birds are not in his language!

How beautiful the cage is....and you are so right...you must have a bird. It is calling for a bird! Can't wait to come back in a few days and see that cage become a home!

That's really pretty! As a bird-person, I would recommend a cockatiel! We have one and he's a little lover! Although, if you get a boy bird and you are the one that fools with him the most, he will be very protective of you and jealous of your hubby. Ours is a real firecracker though! His name is Squeegy and he's actually our 17 year old son's bird but thinks that I belong to him! Hand raised are the way to go, they are very comfortable around people right from the start!
