Sad news for our new den floor....Life At Home Giveaway....

We've enjoyed our new den and new floor for a month...I was away Friday and Saturday to attend grandson, Drew's Perfectly Polished Spring Formal...We received 7 and 1/2 inches of rain in a short period of time....the water seeped in around water pipes in the utility room my husband thinks, ran into the den and ruined a portion of the wood floor. The insurance adjuster was here yesterday and called it flood damage. Of course, we don't have flood coverage.

We had several inches last night and today and tomorrow's forecast is for lots more...another system comes through on Sunday...but we aren't the only ones with problems and some much worse than ours...

On a happier note...please visit Sue at Life At Home for a delightful time of reading and she also is having a Giveaway....beautiful blue and white objects that I want to win!

Wishing you all a blessed week...

Betty,
I'm so sorry to read this! I know the hard work you put into creating that beautiful space.
Hard to imagine that much rain in a short period.
((hugs))

Dear Betty, I am so sorry. I know how that feels. We have had our home to flood twice in our time here 43 years. It can be heartbreaking. It got up about 2 feet once. Ruined alot of things but God has been so good,We have always been able to recover. And like you said there were always others who had it a lot worse. I pray it all works out for you. connie

Betty,

I am so sorry. The floor was beautiful and it seems that insurance companies are always ready to take your money but have one excuse or another why they don't have to pay out.

I am keeping you and Robert in my prayers.

Blessings,
Mary

Betty I was so sorry to read of your floods. I guess it is not something you expect in your part of the world. Especially twice.

Edward looks very well on his birthday photo. So glad he recovered well from his recent health problems. Happy Birthday to Edward.

We have just welcomed our dear little Granddaughter into the world and posted too.
Blessings
