Vase of Pictures.....

Sometimes we won't take the time to drag out albums to peruse so I've taken a mixture of old and new pictures, placed them in a pretty flower pot, and set them on a side table in the den.  Family and friends enjoy looking at them.

They can be changed often....

New Daddy, Edward, with unhappy daughter Melinda...I have one of Amy in the same unhappy pose......
My Daddy, two brothers, two sisters and a double first cousin...I came along many years later.
Wouldn't that be a valuable car today???

Remembering Princess Di's Wedding Day....Prince William's Wedding Day

My sweet husband ordered two Princess Di engagement rings...one for me and one for my dear English friend, Marion....we knew the engagement and wedding of Prince William would be a very important event in the lives of the English people. I've always had a penchant for the English, their customs, their culture, their authors......their way of life....and of course, their English gardens.
Several years ago, I found a cup celebrating the marriage of Lady Diana Spencer

and the Prince of Wales......
This was years before the marriage breakup.......
I also have a 1984 Life magazine with the story of Prince William's birth.......

The little boy did grow up to be a handsome prince but the story wasn't always the happy
fairytale that should have been.....divorce and his beloved mother's death.......
Best Wishes for a long and very happy marriage to his
Princess Catherine.....however, to me she'll always
be Princess Kate.................

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost loved ones, the injured, loss of homes, schools, hospitals, churches, etc. When you petition our Heavenly Father, please remember to pray for the hurting here....Thank you!

So ready to see these plants in bloom once again....

I am so ready for SPRINGTIME! It has been a long, cold, windy winter and I yearn for warmer weather, don't you?

Today is a beautiful, warm day...my two youngest grandsons, John, age 7 and Alexander, age almost five, and I picked up limbs and debris from around the yard. Then we had lemonade. Alexander wanted a slice of lemon on the edge of the glass...he's seen this in pictures. We discussed tatooes, handsome snakes, Loch Ness Monster, beer and other interesting subjects that tiptoe across young grandson's minds....our favorite memories of our family beach trips together.

These are a few pictures of flowers that I look forward to seeing bloom again in the not too far distant future:

The walk way to the back yard......

Edge of one of two urns as you enter the walkway.....

Daylily with gold picotee edging....

Hollyhocks are one of my most favorite flowers.....

Yarrow....blurred picture....

Geranium, Lobelia and Bacopia.....

Blackwatch Hollyhock.....I bought these heirloom seed years ago when we visited Middleton Plantation plant shop out from Charleston.

New Dawn roses on an arbor....Eden Roses are on the opposite side... both are prolific

bloomers.

Do you have favorite flowers in your garden?
