Botanical name for 'egg' plant.......

I did manage to find the botanical name of the plant.....
it is Solanaceae pronounced So-lan-AY-see-ay....for anyone who doesn't have a clue as to what I'm referring to, see Friday's Show and Tell........

Thanks Betty for visiting me and leaving this name for the plant. I wanted to let my mother know about this plant as she loves plants too. I know she has never seen anything like this either..WOW!! THanks again. Sandy

I went to the Farmer's Mkt Saturday and low and behold a young man had a basket of these!!
