A Refreshing Gift............Show and Tell....Showers of Rain.....

Hello everyone....it's Friday and that means Show and Tell over at Kelli's..........

Kelli mentioned that one might choose to share about a gift received......well, the umbrella was a gift from daughter, Amy.......toile is one of my favorite fabrics...........I haven't needed an umbrella lately.................

We are in a severe drought in our area and today the good Lord graciously sent down wonderful, refreshing showers of rain.....I threw open the den windows so that I could sit and enjoy the precious drops falling......within minutes the trees, flowers, grass, statuary all looked so clean and refreshed. The drops of rain clinging to the window screen aren't showing up in the picture as well as they did this afternoon while I was looking out the window.......
It's been quite awhile since we've had the pleasue of a puddle of water around here.........The city of Atlanta is in crisis........water is a precious commodity.......Thank you Lord for our gift of rain today.....

What a cute fabric for an umbrella. Never seen one like that. So glad you are getting a little rain. We've been seeing on the news what a serious situation it is in your area.

My mom lives in the Atlanta area on a lake. She says the lake is now a puddle. Everyone is nervous about what to do.

Thank you for sharing your lovely umbrella. I pray you will get to use it A LOT in the next few weeks.

Neat umbrella--we got a bit of rain the other day--lasted a few minutes and I agree it is glorious when you have been in a drought--makes one appreciate water, doesn't it?!

That brolly would go well with a long, close-fitting Edwardian dress.

What a difference a bit of rain makes when you don't have it for some time!
I remember how dry our summer was her in southern Ontario Canada this past summer and when we finally recieved a shower of rain everything in the garden seemed to smile and the green become so green and the air smelled so fresh..well I suppose you know what I'm talking about!!
Thank you for sending me birthday greetings!
P.S. mother is doing fine
but daughter worries too much hence shingles.hugs Anna

That is a beautiful umbrella.

I am so glad God answered your prayers for rain. The cold front just hit our town about one hour ago and boy does it feel good. It has been so hot here and we thought fall would never get to our house but it is here thank God. God is so good to us. Have a wonderful week, Betty. connie from Texas
