Friday Show and Tell.........plus 'the Walmart greeter'........

My goodness, is it Friday already? Yes, it is....hurry on over to Kelli's to see the list of Show and Tell participants.......

A few weeks ago while thrifting I came across this pretty basket...It's a vintage silver basket .......probably, the verde could be cleaned up some but I like it the way it is.......a pretty green plant or a bouquet of flowers.....I think it has many possibilities........what do you think?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe you need a laugh today......I thought this was hilarious.......bless the senior citizens......'cause I am one!

A new retiree greeter at Wal-Mart just couldn't seem to get to work on
time. Every day 5, 10, 15 minutes late, but he was a good worker, real
sharp, so the Boss was in a quandary about how to deal with it. Finally,
one day he called him into the office for a talk.

"Charley, I have to tell you, I like your work ethic, you do a bang up
job, but your being late so often is quite bothersome."

"Yes, I know Boss, and I am working on it."

"Well good, you are a team player. That's what I like to hear. It's odd
though, your coming in late. I know you're retired from the Air Force.
What did they say if you came in late there?"

"They said, "Good morning, General."

Oh that is a great find, Betty. You must show it again after you decide for sure what will go in it.
I like that you didn't shine it up!

I like the basket just as it is! It has more character than a shiny new silver one!

I totally forgot S&T today! Somehow I lost a day, oh well, I'll just enjoy everybody else's S&T!

Betty,

The basket is absolutely lovely. It will look beautiful with a plant in it or even a bouquet. It's a great find.

Went thrifting today but didn't find anything that caught my eye. A bit disappointing. I was looking for old postcards and rustic containers for my garden. I will find some though. I always start looking early.

Loved the joke about the W*l Mart greeter.

Michelle is home. She came home yesterday and Brandon is keeping a good eye on his mother. Thanks for your prayers and kind words.

Blessings,
Mary
