So glad to see you posted this, Betty!!! We all need to do what we can do. I view it like giving Jesus our 2 loaves and 5 fish and He does the multiplication and the miracles. Susan
Betty and Susan, I had to post about it too. I looked up a lot of scripture about the things they were talking about. It is terrible how people are being led astray.
Hi Betty It seems everyone is talking about Oprah these days. It really bothers me that she is so powerful and people listen to her! I guess we all need to be praying that "the eyes of her heart be enlightened" like it says in Ephesians and she sees the truth and decides to put her trust in Jesus. Rhondi
Hi Betty, just found your blog.I am so glad someone is calling attention to this. Oprah to me is a very dangerous woman . We all need to pray for her to see the light ! I love your blog, it is going to be a keeper for sure on my blog.
I can't for the life of me figure out why so many people believe anything that Oprah says. She is highly overrated in my book. Thank you for sharing this video.
I don't usually like to get into really deep topics on the blogs because I like it to be a fun, light part of my day. However, as a Believer, I want to add a comment in the ongoing Oprah debate. Oprah's show is often entertaining and she certainly is generous with her money. She seems like a great person. In my opinion she has WAY too much influence over people. It seems people instantly buy into anything she says without validation. I think we should think carefully about anything anyone promotes before jumping on the band wagon. I agree that God gives none of us the right to "judge" anyone for any reason - that's His job. But it's really not judging Oprah when you choose not to buy into everything she says just because Oprah said it or to disagree with her. Admittedly, I have not seen every Oprah show but I have heard her talking about her spiritual beliefs many times and I have never heard her say she believes in Jesus Christ as her Savior or that Christ is the only way to salvation. Only God knows if Oprah has given herself to Him. However, I believe Oprah is influencing many people to follow a New Age philosophy, which is what her current theme is based on, and that has nothing to do with the truth of the Bible. I'm not an expert on anything, but I do know without hesitation that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. Can you imagine the numbers of people Oprah could lead to salvation if she were to use her enormous influence to promote Biblical salvation?...Kathy
Thank goodness we live in a country that has freedom of religion-- where we can all practice our faith as we see fit-- and freedom of speech-- where we can say as we believe or don't as well!!To God be the glory!!
I am married to a minister. We have been married 52 years. We have two daughters, two sons-by-love and eight grandchildren. Our house is the home that grew. We have remodeled several times, adding on additions. We live in the country and enjoy gardening, our three cats and fish pool.
