Friday Show and Tell.......

Welcome to Show and Tell over at Kelli's.........

For quite awhile I wanted a pair of vintage floor candelabras....I priced them in antique stores and the cheapest I had found was two hundred dollars a pair. I'm a thrifter and refused to pay that much.

A year or so ago, I was in a favorite thrift store browsing around.....be still my heart.....in the distance I saw vintage, white candelabras......sprinting, dodging bodies in my way, I made my way to them.....I saw no price on them. Momentarily, I located the salesperson and while holding my breath, I asked the sixty-four thousand dollar question....." how much for the pair?" It seemed like an eternity before she answered, "fifteen dollars each." Before you can say, supercalalisticexpealodoshous (have no idea how to spell it) I had my money out of my purse and in my hand......

I've used them in weddings, communion, out in the back yard during a dinner party......they look great just standing around.....

Oh yes Betty, they are just daring! I can imagine how excited you were when you first saw them!

I envy you in America, those kind of thrift stores are not at all common here in Germany and it's quite difficult to find such bargains over here.... ;-((

Have a great Friday and thank you so much for your sweet comment on my pink items I am sharing today!

Best wishes, Anita

Hi Betty,
I'm here trying to catch up today. I just went back and read your post on Oprah and I'm very disturbed by that! What she might believe is one matter but look how many people have come to worship her and follow whatever she says...they are being led astray. It's scary! I had heard bits and pieces about this but not in detail like this video. Thank you for sharing that. Christians need to take a stand now more than ever and like the man in the video says..turn off the tube and get on our knees!!

Hugs,
Hope

Betty,

Those candleabra are beautiful and they look right at home in your backyard. You got a real bargain there. I must get out to the thrift stores again. My last visit I came up empty-handed, but one never knows. Things change each day.

Enjoyed my visit, as always.

Mary
