Houses for our feathered friends.........

This ancient birdhouse is falling apart..........The dovecote in the back yard...

This one I bought on a trip to Savannah.......... Uncle Sam's birdhouse........

The church birdhouse a sweet friend gave to me several years ago........

This is just a metal one but I like it. The weather
doesn't harm it......

This one very special to me. My husband made it out out of an old porch porch. I added the filigree perches (they are actually curtain rod holders), the bottom wooden things are also curtain pole holders turned outside down. Rusty brown
metal birds live on it.

I apologize that the titles aren't always under the correct house. In the draft they were. I have so much to learn.........
This pictures were made in the winter.
There are other birdhouses, but this is enough for now......

What a great collection you have. They are all so fun and interesting. As for getting the pics to match the draft--I can only seem to get pics at the top bottom or side--you are way ahead of me!

Hi Betty! I love all your birdhouses. I can't decide which one I like the best. I have a problem inserting pictures too. I think once I found you could drag them into position, but has been a while since I have tried it. You are doing well with your blog, I am glad I have it to read. Have a good evening. God Bless!

Hi Betty,
Loved seeing your photos. You have a wonderful collection of birdhouses. Sorry you're having trouble with posting them where you want. I don't see your email here, but if you would like some help, please feel free to email me.
I had help from friends to learn how to do it, and I'm glad to pass it along..
:)

I love the birdhouses, they are beautiful.

Yes, pictures and prose can be the most difficult part of Blogger!

Hey Betty! I love the bird houses, espc. the one your husband made! I need to put more bird houses out. I only have blue bird houses & they aint pretty but the birds sure are! The meal at your "Famous Friend's" house sounded wonderful. I still think she was a movie star or something!

What a beautiful birdhouse collection, Betty! The one your husband made for you is just gorgeous!
Every spring the kids and I get wooden birdhouses at Michaels and paint them. We had several sparrows nest in them last year!

Thank you for sharing your collection with us!

You know, I guess when we see something all the time...we really don't 'SEE' it after awhile and therefore fail to appreciate lovely things right under our noses! Thanks for sharing the photos to remind me! The houses really are wonderful, but I must agree that my favorite is the one Daddy made....please remind him that I have a BIG birthday coming up this year...and I REALLY like that birdhouse!!! LOL
Love you,
Amy

Betty, I just love your bird houses, what a collection you have. I like the one Edward made for you and and the creative way he has used other materials is brilliant. That’s just the sort of thing John would do, so I have to say that’s my favourite. The dovecote is beautiful too, but they are all lovely. This posting is quite a coincidence, as John borrowed a book from the library a couple of weeks ago on building bird houses and has promised to make one.

You garden must be a very popular place for visiting birds, they are spoiled for choice. Marion
