Friday Show and Tell.........

Gosh, can it be Friday already..............yes, it is.....and it's Show and Tell time over at Kelli's................

Sometimes just a glance at something and you know immediately that you like it without a doubt.......

A few years ago my husband and I were out bright and early on a Saturday morning visiting yard sales......we stopped at a sale on the side of the road....as I got out of the van nothing looked appealing at all.......I didn't want to appear rude by turning around and getting back in the van.....so I walked down to a table at the end and there was this beautiful, white bird figurine......I am a bird lover......and to me these little birds just said love, protection, togetherness.......I picked it up and asked the price.......the lady said 'ten cents'.....and no matter that it's plastic, it has brought me innumerable hours of pleasure......it keeps company sometimes with expensive objects and holds its own............

My first impression when I saw the pretty little birds is that it is made of marble or alabaster (not plastic!)

This story tells me a lot about you, being so polite and not turning around and leaving. The Lord rewarded you for that with your little treasure!

10 cents??? There are no yard sales. This was a beautiful bargain! I love birds too and can see why you would be pulled to this. It is so pretty. Just wonderful.

Yes, we do use any tools we need in life to get the job done. I now see everyone who visits me in blogland out there with their old butter knives. :)

Those are plastic?!! They don't look plastic at all. Looks like fragile alabaster in the lighting of the photo. None the less, they're perfect.

Mine is posted this week, it's a Valentine Wreath that I made this week.

Hope you can drop by sometime.

I never would've guessed they were plastic from your photo! Just goes to show you that beauty doesn't have to be expensive!

They don't look plastic, they remind me of "milk glass". If that is what it is called. I like them.

You never had to say plastic, none of us would have known. We had a dove and heart theme at our wedding, so I too think it's beautiful.
